Omaxe group is coming up with a megaproject – Hi-tech Township – in Bulandshahar in Uttar Pradesh, part of NCR adjoining Greater Noida. Omaxe’s subsidiary Rivaj Infratech Pvt Ltd has signed an MoU with Bulandshahr Development Authority (BDA) for development of the Hi-tech Township. To be developed over nearly 3,601 acres, this township is estimated to have revenue of over Rs 7,500 crores and will be executed in phases over a period of 5-7 years. Strategically located in Delhi NCR adjoining Greater Noida, on a 20-minute drive from its proposed international airport, and adjacent to the proposed Eastern Peripheral Expressway and North-East Railway Freight Corridor, the Hi-tech Township will be developed as holistic ultramodern eco-friendly marvel comprising world-class residential, commercial, retail, industrial facilities. Omaxe also signed an MoU with Allahabad Development Authority in July 2009 for the development of a Hi-tech Township at Allahabad. Earlier, Ansal High-tech Housing Ltd also initiated a megaproject, High-tech city, in the NCR adjoining Greater Noida. Rohtas Goel, CMD of Omaxe Ltd, says the township at Bulandshahr will be a good alternative to the crowded Delhi region and will create an attractive environment for high-quality living, work and recreation. Apart from this, the Hi-tech Township will be home to technology- and knowledge-based industries, which will attract private investment and create employment. The project is conceived under Hi-tech policy initiative of the government of Uttar Pradesh, for establishing self-sustained hi-tech settlements within the state for harnessing the rapid growth of its economy for a balanced development of its hinterland. High on features, this Hi-tech township will provide residential options comprising plotted and built-up development with various options including affordable housing to suit everyone’s style and budget. The Hi-tech Township will also have commercial, industrial and recreational segments comprising a global business park, food logistics centre, knowledge-based industry, hi-tech sports academy, healing centre, central business district (CBD), leisure and entertainment centres. Offering a host of options with all the ultramodern facilities, this project will facilitate and create an enabling environment for attracting maximum private investment in housing and infrastructure development.
